Lot 589 A GILT AND SILVER INLAID BRONZE BOWL, NEAR EAST 13TH-14TH CENTURY

A later silver re-inlaid and gilt bronze bowl, of deep rounded form decorated with an inscription separated by six roundels, each containing a whirling rosette and four birds, extensively decorated on the underside with a concentric band of calligraphy surrounded by entwined foliage and swirling rosettes.

Around the body: al-maqarr al-‘a/li -, al-mawlawi al-amiri, al-‘alimi/al-maliki, al-maliki al-nasiri.
