A PERSIAN QAJAR STEEL HELMET, 19TH CENTURY.
The hemispherical helmet is formed of one hand-forged steel plate, with a stout mounted long spike at the top, a movable nose guard flanked by two plume holders, engraved with roundels enclosing floral scrolls with gold decoration, the rim with calligraphic cartouches of inscriptions in natasli'q script.

Of circular form with four central bosses, the exterior engraved and incised with flower heads amidst foliage, the rim with calligraphic cartouches and roundels enclosing inscriptions in Nastali'q script.
