A LARGE PERSIAN BRASS INCENSE BURNER, QAJAR, 19TH CENTURY

Of bell shape with pierced hinged cover, supported on a trumpet base with a narrow delicate stem, engraved with a very fine design of roundels and cartouches enclosing figures engaged in different activities, animals and birds on a ground of pierced floral motifs. The cover is similarly decorated with a finial.
Height with finial: 51 cm.
