A PERSIAN QAJAR STEEL HELMET, 19TH CENTURY

The hemispherical helmet is formed of one hand-forged steel plate, with a stout mounted long spike at the top, a movable nose guard flanked by two plume holders, engraved with floral motifs, floral roundels enclosing gold decoration, the rim with calligraphic cartouches of inscriptions in natasli'q script.
