AN OTTOMAN FIRMAN OF SULTAN MUSTAFA IV (R.1807-1808) OTTOMAN TURKEY, DATED 8 SHABAN 1222 AH/11 OCTOBER 1807 AD

Ink and gold on burnished paper, with the tughra of Sultan Mustafa IV in red surmounting 19 lines of elegant diwani in alternating black and red, a small line in red at the end and a series of gold dots, occasional notes on the reverse.

Content: A firman written in red and black ink with Tughra of Sultan Mustafa IV. This firman concerns the income and tax transfer. Due to the death of Kenanzade Seyyid Ali, who was the owner of the mukataa of Gelingiras and affiliated places, the right of disposition of these places was transferred to Seyyid Abdullah Şakir and el-Hâc İsmail.
