A rectangular brass pen-box, inlaid in silver, with functioning clasp-operated lid.
The sides of the box decorated with silver-inlaid engraved roundels enclosing zodiac signs on a dense floral scrolls design. The surface of the lid elegantly engraved with silver-inlaid roundels enclosing a royal seated figure with his servants, flanked on both sides with horsemen in a hunting scene, the sides of the lid with a band containing rabbits chased by dogs.
