Gouache heightened with gold on paper, depicting Akbar II, wearing a jewelled red and gold turban, floral patka , holding a flowering stem, with a jewelled katar secured in his belt, laid down on an album page with leafy outer margins set with applied foliate cartouches in different colours.with a Persian calligraphy in Nastaliq script to the reverse too, laid down within gold rules and minor borders of gold, 24 by 30 cm.
