A Persian gilt copper figural shield with four bosses, the decoration deeply hammered and engraved with a central roundel enclosing Rostam in battle scene, surrounded by panels enclosing engraved Qajar rulers, mosques and birds on a ground engraved densely with birds perched amongst foliage.
