With rounded ends and sliding tray, the horizontally-arranged curved top and sides painted with a central cartouches enclosing a family pictures, flanked by two roundels of a lady in a variety of Western-inspired costumes against gold-sprinkled ground, the decoration an ode to Western motifs and influences in Qajar Persia, the inner sides and base in red, painted with scrolling lotuses in gold, the inside in black.
