Gouache color heightened with gold on paper, depicting al-Masjid al-Haram with the kabaa in the centre surrounded by the four Maqams of the Islamic schools and different doors. With identification inscriptions in black naskh script, flanked on both sides with cartouches enclosing v.1- v.5 from surah Al-Mulk. All ruled in a border with a gilt and polychrome floral sprays on a gilt ground.
Framed and glazed.
