Reference: ART3005081

A typical Yemeni curved dagger ‘Jambiya’, of the ‘northern highlands’ type. Curved iron blade with middle ridge on both sides. The hilt consists of horn and is adorned with a brass decorative band, lines of inserted iron pins and with two round ornamental plates made of brass. These embossed brass plates imitate ‘coins’. The sheath is made of wood and covered in leather, whilst the wide leather belt is cloaked in fabric with typical Yemeni embroidery of polychrome leafy tendrils.
