A LARGE PERSIAN BRASS INCENSE BURNER, 19TH CENTURY

Of bell shape with pierced hinged cover, supported on a trumpet base with v narrow delicate stem, engraved with a very fine design of scrolling vine around paired cypress trees alternating with roundels containing figures and mythical animals. The cover is similarly decorated with a finial.
