A GILT INDIAN TRIPLE BLADE HALADIE, 18TH-19TH CENTURY

A rare Indian Rajput weapon. Usually, a dagger with two opposite blades on a central handle, but here, a rare triple blade form.
The two flanking blades with armour piercing tips and subtle fullers, each engraved and gilded with a lion chasing a deer in a hunting scene with a bird perched beside flowers. The centre blade is supported by a knuckle guard. The handle is forged with protruding lines for secure grip.
