A JAPANESE ARITA SHAVING BOWL, 18TH CENTURY

Reference: ART200959

Shaving bowl or barbers bowl on footring, spreading flat rim with a semicircular section saved in the lower part, with two pierced.
Decorated in underglaze blue with a bird in flight above peonies in a fenced garden. The reverse with three sketchy landscapes with a pavilion and trees. Three circles round the foot, one on the base.
Diameter 28.5 cm.
