A high-quality and heavy tecchi’jitte 鉄地十手 (iron-handled jitte), a traditional blunt melee weapon.

The bôshin 棒身 (main shaft) is crafted from solid, weighty iron and embellished with patinated bronze appliques featuring an embossed chrysanthemum菊 (kiku) design on a textured nanako 七子 (fish-roe pattern) ground. The kagi 鉤 (side hook) is shaped like a small axe. The iron tsuba 鍔 (hand guard) retains traces of a refined Japanese apricot ume 梅 (plum) motif.

The tsuka 柄 (grip) is covered in white samegawa 鮫皮 (rayskin), wrapped in white silk cord that partially conceals a pair of menuki 目貫 (decorative grip ornaments) depicting figures. The end is tied with a long cord adorned with large red silk agemaki 揚巻 (decorative tassels).
