A refined and decorative Japanese black lacquer box, featuring two graceful cranes masterfully rendered in gold maki-e lacquer with shimmering raden (inlaid shell) accents. The lower right is adorned with an ornate cloud pattern in rich gold. Inside, the box includes a beautifully finished tray with sprinkled gold lacquer (nashiji). Housed in its original signed wooden transport box.
