An impressive full set of Japanese samurai armor (yoroi) from the Showa period, meticulously crafted with multi-colored silk cords, lacquered metal plates, and ornate gilt fittings. Featuring a fearsome black-lacquered menpo (mask), a grand crested kabuto (helmet), and intricately detailed sode (shoulder guards), this armor is both ceremonial and symbolic, reflecting the enduring warrior spirit of Japan.
Complete with a square wooden store-box for a suit-of armour (yoroi’bitsu). Height with box: approx. 150 cm.
