A gorgeous tall two-panel byôbu 屏風 (folding screen) featuring white and yellow rose bushes 薔薇 (bara) in bloom.
Signed and sealed in the lower left corner.
Encased by a black lacquered frame fitted with protective metal hardware.
Period: Japan – Taishô period (1912-1926).
Dimensions:
Total width 137 cm (2 x 68.5 cm), Height 152.3 cm.

The screen is in a very good condition with minimal traces of wear conform age and a few small restorations. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.
The folding screen is ideal for mounting flat on a wall and presenting as a single work of art.
