A tall two-panel byôbu 屏風 (folding screen) featuring a painting on shiny golden silk portraying a pair of cranes 鶴 (tsuru) perched on a jutting rock in the midst of the sea. The turbulent waves crash against the rock’s base, with one crane extending its entire body and flapping its wings while the other tends to its feathers with its beak.
Signed ‘Tamaryû’ 玉龍, and sealed twice in the lower right corner. With a black lacquered frame fitted with protective hardware.

The screen is in a very good condition with minimal wear at the back conform age.
