A Japanese hirado water dropper in the shape of a lotus, 19th century
The watercup and dropper combined in the shape of a lotus flower and seed-pod, the stem forming a short handle, and a small pod the brush rest. The two parts have a communicating water channel, covered in dark blue and brownish orange glaze stopping at the base exposing the unglazed bottom.
