A SINO-TIBETAN GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF KAPALADHARA HEVAJRA, LATE 18TH CENTURY

A gilt bronze cast figure of Kapaladhara Hevajra in his twelve-armed form, with four heads each with a third eye, stands in pratyalidhasana on two prostrate figures over a lotus pedestal. He is joined in yab-yum with his consort Nairatmya, his principal hands crossed behind her back, his remaining ten hands holding different items. Nairatmya encircles Hevajra's waist with her right leg, her hands holding a vajrakartrika and a further kapala.
Height: 12.5 cm.

Tiny dents to the base with small missing base to the bottom of the lotus base.
