A TIBETAN RITUAL CROWN, 19TH CENTURY

A Tibetan yak bone crown of 5 fragments, each pierced with a seated deitiy seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal, her loose-fitting robes are delicately incised with lotus scrolls on the hems and tied at the waist, leaving the bejewelled chest bare. Her face is cast with a serene expression and a gentle smile.
Each: 9 (top) by 15 cm.
