A CHINESE WHITE GLAZED SEATED DRAGON, QING DYNASTY (1644–1911)

A Chinese porcelain dragon, cast seated on its back paws and supported on its front paws, the body covered with scales, the bushy tail swipes to the right and upwards, the majestic face with alerted expression and open mouth extending his long tongue and carrying a box on its back, cover in white glaze. All attached to a lotus copper red stand decorated with gilt floral scrolls, the bottom is turquoise glazed with a Chinese Qianlong seal mark.
