A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'BIRDS' 'KRAAK PORCELAIN' DISH, WANLI PERIOD (1572-1620)

The dish is finely decorated to the centre with a star-shaped panel enclosing a bird perched on a rock below further two birds in flight in a lake scene, all surrounded by further lappet-shaped panels enclosing alternating precious objects and upright plants separated by brocade designs. The reverse is decorated with roundels enclosing lingzhi fungus.
