The lid with a scene of three Chinese scholars at a table, set above a scene of an elderly Chinese on horseback with two attendants; the reverse with a river landscape showing a man rowing a boat and two figures on a terrace, above which a scene of an elderly Chinese sitting behind a table with two standing figures opposite. Brass fittings to top and bottom.
