A CHINESE FLAMBE-GLAZED VASE, 19TH CENTURY

The pear-shaped vase is decorated to the shoulder and the body with raised ribs, flaring mouth and spreading foot. The vase is covered overall with a deep maroon glaze streaked with delicate pale blue. The base is covered in a pale straw-coloured glaze covering an apocryphal incised Yongzheng seal mark.
