A Chinese stem cup well potted with deep rounded sides resting on a tall hollow splayed foot moulded with bands, covered with a guan-type celadon glaze.

A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON ‘HUNDRED RIB’ JAR AND ‘LOTUS’ COVER, MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The potted jar of compressed form, moulded with vertical ribs extending from below the short neck to the thick foot, the lobed cover in the form of a lotus leaf with similarly ribbed sides, both covered overall with a finely crackled glaze of sea-green tone thinning to pale green on the ribs and stopping irregularly at the foot, exposing the buff ware.
