A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON 'TWIN FISH' DISH, YUAN DYNASTY (1271-1368) Rising from a short foot to a wide everted flat rim, finely moulded in precise detail to the interior with a pair of scaly carp, the fins, scales and tails exquisitely picked out, encircled by a band of incised wave ground in the cavetto, the exterior bordered with a band of leaves divided by subtly protruding ridges, covered overall in an unctuous sea-green glaze save for an unglazed footring burnt orange.

A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON TWIN FISH DISH, YUAN DYNASTY (1271-1368 AD) A Chinese celadon dish with rounded sides and flattened rim. The centre molded with two fish swimming in opposite direction. The well with a carved and incised wave pattern. The exterior with a band of lotus petals. The unglazed foot-ring burnt orange. Covered with smooth olive-green glaze.
