The vase is strongly potted with a ribbed foot rising to a baluster body surmounted by a trumpeting mouth with ribbed sides just below the everted rim. The body is freely carved with a characteristic lotus scroll above a band of upright leaves. It is covered overall with a thick glaze of an even olive-green tone with the exception of the base which is burnt orange in the firing.
