A painted Henan shouldered jar, the sides tapering sharply towards the base, the wide mouth enclosed by a short straight neck, covered overall in a lustrous black glaze boldly painted on the shoulders in broad brush strokes with three rust-coloured stylized flowers.

Diameter: 27.5 cm.
Diameter mouth: 19 cm.
