A CHINESE 'QINGBA'I EWER, SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)

A Chinese ewer tapering up to a narrow neck and trumpet mouth, set on one side with a curved spout joined to the neck by a cloud-shaped strut, opposite the arched strap handle.
The body is incised with floral leafy sprays, set between a petal lappet border around the shoulder and the base, the neck with upright stiff leaves, covered under a translucent glaze of bluish-green tone.
