A painted Cizhou baluster vase, the pear-shaped vase surmounted by a narrow waisted neck with trumpet mouth, the granular ware applied with a white slip on the exterior and painted in brown beneath the overall lustrous ivory tinted glaze with stylized foliate sprigs and leaf motifs above a double strip encircling the lower body and below a double broad strip under the neck. The unglazed base reveling the granular ware.
