A CHINESE BLUE GLAZED EWER, MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY

The pear-shaped body tapering up to a narrow neck and an everted rim, set on one side with a curved spout joined to the neck by a cloud-shaped strut, opposite the arched strap handle entirely covered with a cobalt blue glaze with a heart shaped medallion on each flattened side. The interior of the mouth rim and the base are glazed white.
