A DOUCAI 'MARRIAGE' BOWL, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)

The bowl is decorated to the exterior with a continuous scene of ducks in a lotus pond, below a band of dragons chasing flaming pearls in underglaze blue to the rim. The interior is decorated with a central roundel enclosing a pair of ducks in a lotus pond and the rim is painted with a band of lanca characters. H 7,5 D 16 cm
