A CHINESE CARVED BOXWOOD 'PERSIMMON' RUYI SCEPTRE

The sceptre is delicately carved and undercut as a gnarled leafy branch bearing persimmons, the largest forming the head of the ruyi-sceptre. The wood is of a lustrous honey brown tone.
