An elegant yellow jade plaque carved in the form of a stylized tiger, showcasing the refined artistry of ancient China. The openwork design, finely incised details, and graceful scrolling motifs reflect the sophisticated jade craftsmanship of the late Eastern Zhou to early Han period. A symbol of strength, protection, and prestige. Length 15.5 cm.

PROVENANCE
From a private Canadian collection. Formerly from Mr. Huang Zhi-Ming, a Taiwanese private collector. Mr. Huang acquired the jade pieces in Hong Kong. Some from Mr. Lai Loy (1926 - 2012), a jade dealer on Hollywood Road well known for handling and supplying archaic jade pieces to collectors, museums and other dealers and some some from private collectors in Hong Kong.
