A rare bronze Fangyi ritual vessel from ancient China, dating to the period of the Shang Dynasty. Fangyi vessels were used in ceremonial rituals for offering wine to ancestors and deities.
This example features a distinctive square form with a fitted lid and richly cast relief decoration, including stylized motifs typical of early Chinese bronze art. The surface shows a natural aged patina developed over centuries.
