A finely painted Chinese blue and white porcelain basin decorated with a continuous river landscape scene, depicting mountains, pavilions, trees, boats, and figures in traditional style. The design is rendered in varying tones of cobalt blue under a clear glaze. The wide mouth and sturdy form suggest it was used as a planter or water vessel, D. 38 cm.
