A Chinese porcelain box and cover of square form with chamfered corners, exquisitely decorated with a dignitary and his servants within a fenced garden. The rounded sides of both the box and cover feature cartouches enclosing stylized peony scrolls. The base bears a six-character Wanli mark.
17.5 by 17.5 cm.
