A pair of Chinese cinnabar vases, carved in high relief with peony-blossoming branches growing from ornamental rocks on a finely textured and patterned ground, above a key-fret chain at the base. The shoulder and waisted neck are further stylized with lotus-blossoming heads amidst foliage. The bottom bears a Chinese Qianlong four-character mark.
