Single leaf, text panel at the top with the Basmala in a single line of black muhaqqaq script, a circular text-block with 15 lines black naskh, 4 circular devices extending outwards from this with the names of the Caliphs, two large rectangulars containing attributed names of the prophet. then another single line of muhaqqaq in another text block above the colophon at the bottom of the page. All in black naskh script reserved in clouds and decorated with colorful flower heads on a gilt ground. Mounted on thick modern board.
A standard style of Ottoman hilya following the layout popularised by Hafiz Osman, that grew in popularity become the 'classical' form of this devotional ornament. 75 by 50 cm.
