A LARGE CHINESE BLANC DE CHINE FIGURE OF GUANYIN, 19TH-20TH CENTURY

Standing on stylized lotus shaped base made up of multiple petals, dressed in an elaborate long swaying robe and richly decorated at the waist and chest with long strings of Buddhist jewellery with flower ornaments and repeated on the upper arms; her elaborate coiffure surmounted by a crown enclosing a seated figure of Buddha. 80 cm.

To the back an impressed double gourd mark for Duhua above a square seal mark version for He Chaozong, possibly made by Su Xuejin (1869–1919). An identical but slightly smaller figure was offered at Sotheby's Paris, 15 December 2011, lot 49.
