A Chinese tianqi lacquer precious objects-inlaid 'dragon' box and cover

The box is decorated with two confronting dragons with hardstones and mother of pearl chasing the flaming pearl above waves and rocks. The sides of the cover and box base are decorated with shaped panels enclosing flower scrolls, all reserved on a geometric ground. The interior and base is lacquered black. the base with an apocryphal Jiajing mark.
