CATALOGUE NOTE Mar'i Al-Karmi was born in Tulkarm, with unknown birthdate, spent his early years in Tulkarm then moved Jerusalem to be taught by well-know Imams for a period of time. Then he left for Egypt where he was trained by imam in Al-Azhar mosque. He lived in Egypt and remained there until his death. He became a well known imam in AL-Azhar, giving lessons and composing books till he became the Grand Imam of al-Azhar.
