A PERSIAN KARAJA RUG, PERSIA, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

A fairly typical Karaja design with three medallions on a medium red field completely covered in geometric motif. The major border on an ivory ground has a modified flower and vine motif along with serrated leafs. Everything is done in light red, medium blue and ivory. The major border is encompassed by two minor borders. Both have various colored botehs on a deep blue ground. 148 by 195 cm.
