Naturalistically modelled with long, curving neck and two partially-visible feet at either side of the nesting body, the finely modeled head with alert eyes within vivid enameling in the famille rose palette, his plumage lightly molded with brightly colored wing feathers heightened with gilt detailing and folded over its back, almost meeting in front of the upturned tails.
