A Chinese blue and white 'grasshopper' 'Kraak porselein' bowl

The bowl is finely decorated to the centre with a grasshopper perched on a rock below blossoming flowers, the cavetto is decorated with four panels enclosing alternating precious objects and peaches, all below suspending tassels, masks, and a brocade pattern. The reverse is decorated with further roundels. Provenance: from a private Dutch collection
