A CHINESE WHITE JADE-INLAID CARVED BOX AND COVER

The box cover is carved in relief with confronting kui dragons and is inset with white jade panels carved with elephants, four of the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang. The cover stands on a rectangular base supported on four angular feet, the apron is carved with taotie.
